I know a bunch of you are having your mom's walk you down the aisle. My dad ( who is my stepdad...my mom married him when I was 5 but now they are divorced for 4 years) is still in my life but we aren't close. I am dancing with him at the wedding and having him introduced during reception..
Here is my question...
I originally wasn't having him walk down the aisle since my mom is. Is this wrong? If he did I wouldn't know who he would walk down with... what do you girls think? Is it ok if he doesnt?
TIA for your opinions

It's not wrong at all. My dad is walking down the aisle with my stepmom, but my mom is walking me down. I am dancing with my dad though.

My dad isnt remarried- he has a girlfriend but I wouldnt have them walk down together...I was just planning on having him not walk down at all but still be introduced and do the dance with..
its just complicated cause he is actually my stepdad and my mom isnt with him anymore so I rarely see him...maybe 4-5 times a year...dont get me wrong I love him and he was there my whole childhood and now its just that we arent super close

He really doesn't need to walk down the aisle. I think it's very nice that you're introducing him at the reception. Truthfully, I think that is enough recognition.

I don't think you need to walk him down. . with your or by himself. . I had both my parents walk me down and they are divorced and remarried and didn't know what to do about steps, and then FH's dad and step etc so we just decided all famiy would just be seated and it was just my folks and I walk down. . I think you are fine with just you and mom!!

Re: dad question..
I have gone through this with my family and it all ends like this because my I have my stepdad and my godfather who is also my uncle and was like my dad my entire life and then there's my mom who keeps insisting she and my step dad are walking me down because she went to a wedding where that's what happened.
I think you can do whatever you want. If I could, I think I'd walk myself down the aisle.
