My colors are chocolate brown & pink. so I bought my dad a pink tie. so you are not getting a tuxedo and now he tells me he is wearing a dark gray suit. GRAY r u serious???? what about Black?? Then I tell him I bought him a pink tie.
Guess what his answer is?
I am NOT wearing a pink tie. First of all it doesn't go with my new suit and I don't wear pink. It doesn't look good on me....

i agree, knowing more of your b ackground helps and if he hasn't been there for youin so many years, i'm not surprised he is not there for you now. i would allow him to come as a guest but no one would think less of you if he did not walk you down the aisle. especially knowing your family history. the honor should go to someone who has been with you all your life supporting you, like your mom or other close family member, something your father obviously is not.

I would tell him that you would really appreciate it if he would wear the tie since it will make him llok like a member of the bridal party and its really important to you...mabey he will soften up?
