I know how you feel. My dad was OBSESSED over the centerpieces - he wanted all high centerpieces for 25 tables which was definitely not affordable for me. Then he became insistent on having a Viennese Hour. He is obsessed with having the classiest possible wedding that will 'blow people away' - translation = Expensive.

I should add that FH and I are paying for the majority of it...

all my dad cares about is if there's going to be chocolate cake for him to eat.

Just glad that I am not alone here. He has become particularly obssessed with the rsvps these last couple of weeks. Then I tried to distract him by asking him to develop a list of songs in Spanish to play at the wedding.

And now he calls me everyday to play songs to me and discuss one artist's version over another's!!

the only thing my dad has said about the wedding was that he was glad i was going with a local tux shop rather than mens warehouse cause it takes too long to get there...

literally he never asks me anything about the wedding

He wanted us to not hire a photographer and buy a $500 camera and ask a guest to take pics - and he was dead serious
