Delilahs are different from Dahlias

I would ask your florist, tell them that is the color you are going for and which is cheaper. I would think that Dahlias would be more since Roses are very common almost year round

I love dahlias but, make sure they are in season for your wedding. I was told they come out in late August, early September.

My florist isnt charging per flower so I am sorry I am not much help. I do know we are using Dahlia's in the CP and BM bo-K

Dahlias are more costly and also a fall flower. You might end up paying even higher costs to have them at a May wedding

Dahlias have to be treated before being put into an arrangement.
They leak a milky sap when cut.

I am using Dhalias for my cocktail hour and mixed with other flowers for the reception. Dhalias are more money but they are larger than roses so the price probably washes out.
