And I do not get why so many people on this board feel the need to trash and bash the candidate who they dislike. Why do people feel the need to say Palin is an an unfit mother etc. And hopes she crashes and burns, or Obama is a socialist who hates America. People saying that is not going to change others views it is only going to make people more made and start drama.

Im staying away from political conversation on this site from now on but I still read and I just wanted to agree with you. The bashing is uncalled for and Im upset that I let someone pull me into it the last few times I spoke my opinion. Which is why I wont be commenting with my opinions other than 'I agree or disagree' Not only are the candidates being bashed but someone resorted to calling ME names last night and Im not going to be part of anymore discussions because its just a waste of time. I agree with you 100 percent.

Exactly. I would never think your stupid for voting on the opposite side. And I would never stop liking someone for their political views. Nor would I ever feel like someone having a different opinion as mine gives me the right to call them names. Its okay though. While I did get a little angry, I didnt have to take depression meds because of it

And thank you, as long as I have the title of Meatpacker, I know I will be okay. Please please dont EVER take that away from me!

Also Palin said the war is 'god's plan' Charlie Gibson was trying to get her to explain in an interview and she did a terrible job trying to dodge the question...I take offense to her saying that this war is god's plan? Who's god is that?

Oh and more to the point..her 'great' speeches are all written for her and EVERYTHING she has said publicly has been teleprompted...cant wait to the debate ,, where I am quite certain she will crash and burn up next to Biden

Its kind of not really about speaches, its about her speaking with her own words. They wont even let reporters get next to her, she wont answer their questions, and we have only a few weeks to learn about her before we vote.

She didn't know and couldn't elaborate on our nations foreign policy put in place by Bush 8 years ago.

She doesn't know exactly what an 'earmark' is, because she claims to have ellimated them, but in fact Alaska dominates in spending on special projects. In fact her bridge to nowhere that she rejected, well she kept the money for it, and spent it on special projects.

I'd like to hear an intelligent person speak about facts too.

Why dont people see this? To me this is not a matter of politcal differences..I do not agree with many of McCain's policies/ideas but I recognize that he is an intelligent man and can see why someone would vote for him...BUT she is his VP she does not seem to be a person who can handle the job as a VP and quite possibly President. She is not qualified it does not matter how the Republican party spins this the woman is in no way prepared or capable of doing this job.

Regardless of your political affiliations, I am truly shocked that as women you are not the least bit outraged that he is mocking a woman who has managed to build a successful career from the ground up while also raising a family.

The Hockey Mom as bad Disney movie strikes me as completely sexist. Biden is praised for raising his children as a single father and making the sacrifice of riding Amtrak home every day from his job in the Senate. Yet Palin's abilities to be a mother while also balancing a political career are consistently called into question. What makes Biden more qualified to manage this balancing act?

I don't know much about Palin's politics but as a woman the double standard makes my stomach crawl. JMO...

I know this is a sticky subject...but how can women NOT be outragged that people are suppose to take her seriously??!!?
Here we are divided about Hilary, but NO ONE can argue that she doesnt know her stuff. She was a woman sucessful, smart and qualified to do the job.
So here we are with another woman who's views our completly out there, has zero expierence AND just got her PASSPORT!!!! what is that? How can we as a country choose a woman just because she's juggling work and kids! That makes her qualified? I think not.

The republican party chose her because they wanted the women vote. I find that to be insulting. Just because they got a jo shmo woman means the women of this country are just going to vote for her? I feel that the women who do support this palin woman are suckers and are falling for thier scam.
