my fh and i have fought every friday since feb when beginner ballroom dance class started. we got a really good deal for a 15 week course. i guess after 6 classes we got our moneys worth but is till think we should go to the end in may.. we so far have missed 3 classes, including tonight and one class was cancelled for good friday. i do not like going either, but i want to learn for the wedding. the fights keep getting worse and worse about this. dont know what to do. just drop out? not worth the fight? 'we' also thinking of taking private lessons but turns out he is not crazy about that either. i get so frustrated when we do go cuz he goofs off and spins and bounces when no one else is/not part of dance ...

he may be uncomfortable....don't push it's not worth it
practice the steps at home and then see if you want a private lesson or two

We opted for private lessons because DH and I had two left feet dancing with each other.
We didn't fight because we wanted everything to look good on our wedding day- people were amazed at how good we looked dancing!
I would talk to FH and see what's bothering him about the dance lessons- it's not good if he's there but goofing off.

we have gone for 6 lessons, there are 6 more, we missed 3 of them
he says its too many classes and too long-2 hours each. maybe he is right.
he thinks it should be 1 hour for 6 weeks only.
what we are learning we are not sure how to apply to our song anyway, we may need private lessons and these would be shorter anyway. or practice at home.

What are you fighting about? Is it the choreography? Going? Maybe looking at where the fighting stems from will help making it better...

If he is really adamant on going I wouldnt push it and just stop. DH was totally against going-and ya know what-we didnt go and our first dance was just fine
