Future hubby and I are on the hunt for affordable dance lessons. Anyone have any information and prices? Looking for something that wont break the bank. Nassau County preferred for us!
THANKS!

Re: Dance Lesson Info
wow $400 for 4 lessons (first free).
Is that how much dance lessons usually cost?
Now (sorry for the hijack of the thread) I am also THINKING of taking dance lessons. BUT, not ballroom (or even slow) dancing.
But 'normal'/club dancing.
I do not know how to dance, I have never been to a club, or danced at a wedding...the thought of it has never appealed to me. In fact I hate the thought of it.
Now I am thinking I will be expected to go onto the dance floor and dance.
People have always said - 'Just listen to the music and do what comes naturally' But nothing happens, seriously.
So should I look into lessons with John, or just watch music videos and try to imitate it? But I'm sure how they dance in a music video (like N Sync) is different from how people dance in a club.
Thank you

Re: Dance Lesson Info
Of the two I have priced out John is the most expensive! But he isnt that far off. Seems pricey! EEK ... Its also an individual class so thats something to remember.
Future hubby and I could use some 'social dancing' lessons as I like to call it. I THINK I can dance, but I cant. Its okay! I wouldnt stress. If youre not a dancer youre not a dancer, but I would just put the music on and dance around your room!
Its FUN!?!?

I am also looking into dance lessons but need someone in Manhattan so we can go after work. If anyone can recommend that would be great! A friend of mine used John and loved him...I think you should check him out!!

Re: Dance Lesson Info
Per the advice here I am booked with John for next Saturday for our intro lesson. Beyond that it's $80 per hour or $300 for 4 - hour long sessions. We'll prob just got once or twice since we can only go Saturday and I still have to break it to my FH that he has no rhythm.

John was GREAT!!! DH and I used him too. We had our last lesson in our room at the RH and the day of the wedding, John came to the RH and gave DH (who was sooooo nervous) a quick pep talk before we were announced into the room and did our first dance. John's great to work with and he's very flexible with scheduling lessons.
