FH and I want to take dance lessons for our first dance ... our wedding is in 4 months and the place we called offers a 'package' of 4 hour-long classes.
when should we start the classes, and then do we go every week? every other week? other?
i'm afraid if we go once a week, we'll be great at the end of the month, and then forget what we're doing by august.

Re: dance lesson timing
In my opinion, 4 months is too early, unless you really have 2 left feet. FH and I started 2 and half months ago and we go every week. We are decent dancers and we thought we didnt need every week, but we need a lot of practice, plus to get FH to practice at home is always a battle, so if we didnt have class every week it would be even harder to get him to practice!

Re: dance lesson timing
We're doing a total of 6 lessons and doing them every other week. We spread it out that way so the last lesson will be a week or two before the wedding.

Go once a week to start off and then see if you can stretch that to every other week.
If you are concerned about forgetting it start later then earlier. You don't want to look like your thinking about you dance when your actually doing it.
