Re: Dance lessons??
My FI and I have always enjoyed dancing together very much and have so much fun! We will practice together for the wedding - but we really don't need to take lessons.

I totally understand.. My fi is a cluts. he is also shy, so he isn't very excited about taking dance lessons.. but WE HAVE TOO.. when we dance, we're stepping allover eachother, he's pulling me down, I'm frustrated. not a good site..

Re: Dance lessons??
Only if we can afford it.It's opposite for us.
I can't dance
Jim, .. man he can cut rug.. hehe
Don't know how and why but there you are.
Me? I was the one who danced only during the day of duran duran and new age stuff. heh
Slow dance? Me? Never, why would I? Only with my Dad at other weddings and functions. So I sorta missed out on all that. Even Jim & I have never actually slow danced together.
God Im gonna look like such a dork!!!!
I figured if my dress had a full skirt no one would know I can't figure out which foot is where.

Re: Dance lessons??
We are going to take dance lessons but it is going to be more fun than serious. We are going to take dancing at Smithtown High School for adult continuing education. It is really inexpensive!

Re: Dance lessons??
I think I would want to take dance lessons with my FH - salsa dancing since he is Puerto Rican, but he doesn't know all the steps, so it would be fun, it's Fitting it in our busy schedules and the Cost......aagghhh more money spent!!

Re: Dance lessons??
We are. FI actually wants to. He is signing us up at a place called Just Dancing. And then if we like the place, we are also going to learn how to country line dance (just not for the wedding!)

Re: Dance lessons??
I would love dance lessons so I am hoping we can get a reasonable deal some where. Dale likes to dance but he dances like he has cement blocks on his feet and moves around. Or one of those things that you press underneath and the figure moves all around. But at least he dances. But I would like to learn a couple of moves for our first dance instead of the 9th grade hold me around my waist and step around and around and around and around......

As parents of the groom, we are taking dance lessons at Arthur Murray - we just took our first this week. What fun! We've got rythm!

Re: Dance lessons??
Definitely check out adult ed. We did it in ENPT and it was $45 a couple for 5 lessons. Although we only ended up taking two (we got sick, instructor got sick & rescheduled while we were on vacation, etc).

Re: Dance lessons??
Its funny how guys want to learn. I don't know if its a few too many James Bond movies, or just b/c they never do anything unless thay know they are good at it.I don't think we are dancing at our weding, but if we were it would be a good excuse to take lessons. My fiance would prefer not to dance at all, but he's insist on soem sort of instruction if he knew he'd be dancing. Either from, me, a video tape, or a class, if he had to.
I've always wanted to take balloroom lessons for fun, but we'd never use it. . .unless I become a professional--
