dance lessons
Re: dance lessons
My fiance and I are taking lessons from Victor at cooperative partners in East Setauket. He does private group or individual lessons and his prices are really reasonable. Check out www.cooperative-partners.com! Good luck!
Re: dance lessons
are you having your dance choreographed?
Re: dance lessons
We had our dance choreographed. We are going to Arthur Murray in Bayside.
Re: dance lessons
We aren't having our first dance choreographed because we just wanted to learn a nice general slow dance. Our friends who recently got married used Cooperative Partners too, and they had a waltz choreographed for them. It was beautiful!

We took lessons at Remember When in St. James. It was so much fun we are continuing to go. Our dance was choreographed and we got so many compliments on it. I would definitley do it again!!

Re: dance lessons
we had about 10 lessons to learn our dance.
Re: dance lessons
FH and I have gone for 5 lessons already and we have one more left. Our first dance isn't completely choreographed but we've learned 5 different moves to get around the dance floor to our wedding song and we'll just do whatever feels right come the day of. I know my FH will be nervous and may forget some of the steps if it was choreographed step-by-step. This way he can do the basic steps and then throw in some of the turns and more complicated things whenever he's comfortable. In the five lessons we've taken we've learned the five steps for the fox trot, we've learned some merengue and some salsa. My mom owns a dance studio for kids, but she used to teach ballroom dancing, so she's going to work with us until the wedding so my FH gets more comfortable with everything.
