Dance Lessons

So FH and I want to take dance lessons. Not exactly sure when yet, but I was wondering if anyone has taken dance lessons and if so, how much it usually cost...just a round about figure.

Also if you know of an good places, that's be helpful too.

TIA

Re: Dance Lessons

Try Arthur Murray - there are several locations. It's pretty inexpensive, and although the instructors aren't the best everm they are perfectly competent in teaching you enough to dance at your wedding.

Or like someone said, check out the library schedule, some even give free lessons. Wish I get my boy to go!!

Re: Dance Lessons

Does anyone know if the libraries in Queens or the City give lessons, or are they just the ones in LI? FH and I bought a dvd at Target that teaches you how to dance. So far we've tried the Rhumba.. and we look pretty pathetic

Re: Dance Lessons

we're going to do it this summer, just for fun but also to start practicing for the wedding. They are offering summer classes at the Great Neck Performing Arts Center, it is $265 pp for 8 sessions, 2 hours a session. I'm signing us up ASAP!

ETA: I just found the ad:
Make it a date night! This class will introduce
students to the basics and characteristics of individual Latin and social dances with an emphasis on body movement, the art of lead/follow and musicality. The dances taught will be Meringue, Cha-Cha, Mambo (Salsa), Rumba, Hustle and Swing.

This might be a fun thing to do as a group for the girls who aren't far from Great Neck!
