Re: dance lessons?
we are doing dance lessons for our first dance and then some. They offer it at a center of the arts in great neck, that is where we are taking lessons, I know it's far for you. The lessons were on the pricey side I believe it was around $350 a person

Re: dance lessons?
We're planning on doing it.
You never know FH might surprise you. I didn't think he would go for it but I got him to agree. Surprisingly he said he didn't care how expensive it could be. He just wants to make me happy. I was looking into it when we first were engaged but I am not sure. Where are you located? There's Arthur Murray and they're all over the place.
I'd like to start in a month about 6 months before the wedding so we geta LOT of practice.

Re: dance lessons?
We're doing the first dance from American Wedding - so my MOH is teaching us that dance. It's very short and very few people will get it - but it's our thing...and we'll get it!

Re: dance lessons?
I always wanted to do the Dirty Dancing dance at my wedding lolz..but I don't think I'd be able to keep a straight face through it..but I really would like to do a special first dance. I'm a dancer so it means a lot to me, but my FH has two left feet. Surprisingly, when I asked him if he was willing to do something he was fine with it. I think the guys on So You Think You Can Dance have inspired him but he doesn't want to admit it! hehe...So you have hope if my FH is willing to do it!

Re: dance lessons?
FH & I just started taking lessons!
We are taking them with John from Ballroom Dance Long Island, he is a LIW vendor, and was recommended to me by one of the other 07ers eperlman.
The pricing isn't bad at all, FM me if you want specifics.
The first lesson is a FREE 1/2 hour, to see how you like it.

FH said he doesn't want to take lessons....I'm soooo angry about this....I think we should.... Maybe if someone gave ti to us as a gift, he wouldn't have a choice....LOL

Re: dance lessons?
Yea..I actually saw it for the first time last nite..I think it was someone on the 07 boards that posted it. It was so cute!
I know me and my FH would be crackin up though, because we fool around and do the 'lift' every now and then and both of us crack up...

Re: dance lessons?
We're going to need dance lessons too. My FH dances like he's in Jr. High School. It's very cute because he gets so embarrassed. He's a much better slow dancer but I want to take lessons so we both feel comfortable. I think he's willing to do it b/c he knows he can't dance. lol.
