Has anyone taken dance lessons that they really enjoyed? If so could you possibly FM me the name of the studio and price?
TIA

It didn't help at all? FH can't dance so i thought it would be a good idea.

Re: Dance Lessons
It helped us sooo much...DH is a terrible dancer also...we went to a place in Islip...soo reasonably priced- 150$ for six 1/2 hour lessons- we learned to do the 'fox trot' for our first dance....here is the website: Dance Lessons

Re: Dance Lessons
We also started dance lessons, but it was at the local high school, one of the 'adult education' courses....but after 3 lessons we dropped out. It was going soooooooooooo slow......and every week he did a 1 hour review of the week before....we were a little ahead of the class apparantly. We are going to look into someplace else, but frankly....are really going to dance the waltz our first song? Prob not.

Re: Dance Lessons
Phil at Arthur Murray in Bayshore! He's great and he is a real guy's guy, believe or not, and this totally made my FH want to go. They would talk football and baseball and then we'd dance the fox trot. For any reluctant FH I think he is absolutely the way to go.

Re: Dance Lessons
I love my dance class so much fun!! His name is victor and wife is Carolyn. They are liw vendors.
We LOVED our dance teacher in Brooklyn/Brighton Beach area!
We'll even go back to continue the lessons this summer.

Re: Dance Lessons
We used John from Ballroom Dance LI.
He's a LIW vendor, and was wonderful to work with.
If you do a search on the boards, you'll see lots of rave reviews
I agree John is the BEST!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I looked forward to lessons every Sunday!
And he works in multiple studios, so he can probably find one near your area. I know a ton of brides who used 'group' classes and hated it, but everyone loves working with JOHN!

we did a course like this too and we stopped after 6, missed 3 and there are 6 more but i do not think we are going to go back. i feel bad about it. i like to finish what we start. the class is just causing stupid fights between us. we still are not that great and i do want something planned for the first dance.
good luck to org. poster- i think dance lessons are a good idea regardless of my experience.
