dance lessons on sale!!!

Stepping Out Studios (in NYC) is offering a promotion on Groupon.

$40 for 4 weeks of dance lessons...i think 1 class a week

i just bought 2 certificates. i figure this is a nice/cheap/easy christmas gift...and we have both been talking about taking lessons before the wedding anyway!!

eta: i think its 1 class a week for 4 weeks...not unlimited throughout the month....still a good deal tho!

i plan to talk to them about what dance style would be better

i've seen this group at a trial thing at a showcase before and they seem really good and ready to help.

the trial thingy had a foxtrot, and i think that is a pretty easy and pretty dance to do to most slow music (with a beat like michael buble and harry connick jr style)....

..honestly, i am not the best person to ask about what dance goes to what music since i feel im a bit beat-challenged, lol.

but i would think..foxtrot, rhumba, tango, swing could all be cool

i keep threatening my dad saying we need to take lessons.

he definately needs to pick a very easy song to dance to. my dad is too cute when he dances tho. he kinda just does this side -to-side with a happy grin on his face.

OMG! FH and I have been DYING to take swing classes!!

And it's such good exercise! I was in the best shape when I took salsa classes!

I took swing lessons in High School! SOOO much fun!

For a first dance, I want to learn to waltz.
