I am having a hard time trying to find the perfect song. Any ideas? What is everyone using?

Re: Dance with Daddy
we were going to use butterfly kisses but it is a 7 minute song... that is VERY long when you are out there... So we switched to You Raise Me Up...Josh Groban

that is so nice, i love that song.
we are dancing to 'bridge over troubled water'. Even took dance lessons together
Not positive... I want something that won't have me in tears the whole time. I love Butterfly Kisses but I can't even listen to it anymore without choking up!
I am thinking of a few... My Girl Either Stand by Me or Put Your Head on my Shoulder (my dad used to always sing along to those in the car! one of them, I can't remember which, is pretty good word wise)
I have a bunch downloaded but I am drawing a blank...

I was thinking about the Josh Groban song too...I wasn't sure. For a long time I wanted the song to be 'Through the years' by Kenny Rogers, but my mom thinks it's more of an anniversary song. I just thought it was good because my dad and I have been there for each other through a lot of stuff. He was never really a very emotional person (that's why I diid not want Butterfly kisses...although I LOVE that song). He has been a mentor and I have learned a lot from him. I would like my song to reflect that.

Re: Dance with Daddy
we are dancing to Daddys Little Girl because my mom danced with her Dad to it and my sister danced with my dad to it so its kind of a tradition.

Re: Dance with Daddy
i played 3 songs for my dad and gave him the choice: you raise me up (josh groban), you'll be in my heart (phil colins) or in my daughter's eyes (martina mcbride). martina mcbride was the hands down winner, he and my mom were sitting there sobbing when the song was over!!! it IS a hard choice, i felt like the words had to be perfect!

Re: Dance with Daddy
I did Daddy's LIttle Girl too because my dad really wanted it. I think it was something that he had thought about for a really long time...dancing with his daughter on her wedding day
I had also thought about Billy Joel Just the Way You Are because I always remember him singing that song when I was a little girl.
