Dance with mother?

It's not silly!!! My sister danced with my Mother at her wedding. I think it's a sweet thing to do. And just to recap it's your day ANYTHING you want to do just do it. Don't worry about what other people do or say!!

My best friend danced with her mom at her wedding as did her sister at hers. It was very touching and extremely appropriate as far as everyone was concerned, bc everyone at the wedding knew that the mom had basically been both mom and dad to them. A word of caution, though, her idiot DJ's (I don't know who) announced that the bride would be dancing with her dad by mistake - she ran out of the reception crying, it was awful. Just make sure the DJ's are totally clear on who's dancing with who! good luck!

We danced to 'The way you look tonight' by Sinatra it was really nice, not silly at all. My mother also walked me down the aisle.

I am dancing with my Mom, however, I am also dancing with my Dad. I hope that is ok.?? Does anyone know? I am dancing with her to Wind Beneath My Wings, by Bette Midler. Always knew I would since I was a little girl. So I am definitely dancing with her. Now i am just wondering if its ok I dance with both my parents?

It's your wedding day anything you want to do is neither stupid or wrong. If you want to do the Funky Chicken for an hour do it! =)

Mother/daughter dance

I danced with my mother at my wedding to 'Because you Loved me' by Celine Dion. It was NOT silly at all.... I also asked the DJ to call people onto the dance floor to dance with their mothers towards the middle/end of the song - there were many daughter/mothers dancing together....it was extremely touching!

If you want to then do it! Lots have my friends have done that recently and even had their moms and dad walk them down the aisle. I think it is so sweet. I haven't talked to my mom yet...I would like to but I am not sure if either of us would be able to dance..I think we would both be crying the whole time!

I am thinking the same as you. I would love to do it, but I think we would be crying too
