For those of you that will have a DJ or band, do you plan on dancing a lot at your reception? My Fh just informed me that he won't be dancing much. When I asked why he said he will probably be talking to guest. Isn't this day about us? Sorry, I think I am in meltdown mode this morning.

I'm going to try to talk to as many guests as possible at the cocktail hour. I'm all about dancing my butt off during the reception. I want to enjoy my wedding!
FH and I usually are up dancing alot when we go to weddings together so I would imagine our own wedding won't be much different.

We danced at our wedding, but we also talked to people. We had a little more than 100 people, so we were able to do both. Sometimes, guests are dance-shy, so they like it when the bride and groom dance. You can 'entertain' people by dancing with them.
Also, most guests were very understanding about the fact that you can't have long conversations with them. In fact, some guests said to me, while I was talking to them 'Don't worry about us....go have fun....'

i plan on taking the first hour to thank everybody for coming but the last 4 hours i want to dance my a** off, fh loves dancing too so he will too. Honestly, when you see the couple out dancing and partying it makes for a different atmosphere. When i go to weddings, most of the time you barely see the couple. But when i go to weddings where you see the couple having a great time together and dancing with the guests on the dance floor i think it helps

im planning on greeting the guests in the last half of the cocktail hr so i get it all out of the way then...this way we can enjoy the party

lol...i want to dance all night. i know i won't be able to but we're taking pics before so that we can chat w guests during CH so that i can get as much dancing in as possible!! dancing is my fav thing.

I was on the dance floor the entire night pretty much. I couldn't sit & eat, I was too excited. We walked around to the tables & talked to everyone while they were eating, it didn't take long, maybe half hour.
