so before my wedding I had it bad. No matter if I washed my hair often, not often..
So I used TGEL shampoo and it calmed it down (day of I had it slightly but not bad).
I thought it was the stress and cold weather.
It stopped but now it's back again.
Using the TGEL again but want to really just rid myself of it.
ANd it's not dirty kind, like really flaky dry skin which I do not have
Any advice?

Re: DANDRUFF!
I get this sometimes, too, no matter what I do.
I use Head & Shoulders volumizing shampoo since I have very fine hair. And then I use a brush with the plastic bristles and boar's hair bristles. They help to get rid of it, too. Now, I never really have it anymore. But if I stopped for a week, it'd be back! Such a pain!
Also, I use my regular conditioner because I don't like the smell of H&S!

Re: DANDRUFF!
in the winter my skin gets REALLY dry.. so I started using head and shoulders.. it worked for a while. I just can't use it everyday.
my mother always suggested using tea tree oil or tea tree shampoo... Vo5 works really good (and is really cheap)... I used to buy this other one that i can't remember the name of, but one thing I've learned with tea tree... you can not use it everytime you wash your hair. use it like once a week.. it can make your hair very greasy. but it does work.

Re: DANDRUFF!
i used to have issues and started to use TGEL once a week -- it got better for a while then it came back so now i use TGEL every time i wash my hair ... i use it first though, and only on my scalp and leave it for a few mins, then i rinse and wash the rest of my hair with regular shampoo (matrix stuff in the green bottle for curly hair) and condition it ... TGEL is expensive, which *****, but i always look for it at BJ's ...

Re: DANDRUFF!
Thanks ladies. I do use H&S shampoo but it wasnt strong enough to totally knock it out. I deep condition once a week. Maybe I should take the olive oil from Italy and add heat once a week before washing?? If not I'll buy OOT

Re: DANDRUFF!
this is going to sound super weird but i had similar issues and i switched to baking soda instead of shampoo because the soap in shampoo dries out your scalp... and it makes your hair feel so clean and soft and thicker

baking soda? I have never heard of this. Do you make a paste out of it? just use it dry?
Mine was so bad at one point that I went to a dermatologist and they gave me a prescription for shampoo and a liquid that is placed right on the scalp.

I've heard this about baking soda, too, but it sounds like a hassle and a mess. I'm interested to hear how you did it though!
