Re: DANFORDS ON THE SOUND
my sister got married there 2.5 years ago and it was awesome. the cocktail hour was outside which was beautiful, the room was really nice esp b/c the dj was pretty much off in the other room (i'm not sure if they have more than 1 room, she had hers upstairs). b/c he was set off from the dining area it was a lot quieter and made more people dance b/c you didn't have to worry so much about being watched. the food was awesome, service was great, we had a personal attendant in the bridal suite who was so nice and helpful. we also stayed there overnight and the rooms were great. big, clean and comfy. i can't think of any problems she had. i'm sure you'll have a great time there as well!

Hi! I'm getting married at Danfords as well. I'll be after you though... 12/03. FM me if you want to chat. Happy_Bride is also getting married there. I don't know if there are any other Danfords brides out there or not.

Re: DANFORDS ON THE SOUND
ME! October 4th 2003! WOO HOO! It was exactly what we were looking for. FH didn't want a 'catering hall' meaning all they do is weddings. Danfords is such a beatiful location and everything they give you is great. I can't wait. We are having our cermony on the brick walkway & the cocktail hour outside on the deck. Then the reception will be the entire top floor overlooking the water! YAY!
When did you book? Did you deal with Marlene?

Re: DANFORDS ON THE SOUND
We looked at Danfords, and it was our First choice, but I don't think we will be able to fit our entire wedding in there. We are looking at possibly 180 people (but maybe only 130). We really really like it though, and I am kinda sad that we have so many people because I LOVED Danfords. Also keep in mind the wonderful town if you have people coming from out of town, they can make an event out of it!!!

Re: DANFORDS ON THE SOUND
I booked Danfords over a year ago. I have looked at other places but none were as accommodating as Danfords. I am dealing with Nicole who has been really nice. The only thing is we play phone tag alot. Im sure she will keep better touch when my wedding gets closer. It is on a Sunday and the ceremony is at 11:00am followed by the coctail hour / reception. I have the DJ and photographer , but still need to find a Florist and hair/make up artist. One thing I have always heard about Danfords is they have the best food! I wish someone had pics of their wedding at danfords.
