Daniel Thompson gown... need help!
I bought my gown at Bridal Couture of Manhasset. The designer is Daniel Thompson who I know exists because he was there having a trunk show. After hearing alot of negative things on this site about Bridal Couture, I have been trying to contact Daniel directly to have him refit me now that I have my shoes so that (hopefully!) I will not need any alterations. But, here's the problem, when I search the internet for him, I get a phone number which doesn't work and an address where he is no longer located. So I am trying to get his info from Bridal Couture directly, but (surprise, surprise) they are being less then forthcoming with it. Supposedly, only one person in the whole store has his info, and she conveniently is never there when I call.
I am really starting to get cooncerned. This whole thing is a little strange but I have already paid a 50% deposit on the gown. I will feel much better if I can just find the designer. Has anyone else heard of him? Can anyone think of another way for me to go about getting his info? Any help would be much appreciated.

Re: Daniel Thompson gown... need help!
I was there the day he had the trunk show! The Better Business Bureau has this listed as his address:
66 W. 38th St. #306
New York, NY 10018
Like you said, the phone number seems to be a fax number. Maybe you can try faxing a request and see if anybody responds!

Thank you so much for the address! It is not the same one I had. I will try to see if that it's.

I did not shop there - but don't go by a few peoples bad experiences - yours could be wonderful. Just a thought...

I bought my gown in Bridal Couture of Manhasset, and so far my experience with my sales rep has been terrific! I met your designer when I ordered my gown, and of course they asked me if I wanted to see his work, but I already had my gown in mind and he did not have that style of dress (I am wearing something very simple). My fitting will cost around $65 but of course, my gown does not have crystals, embroidery, nor I need a bustler ... I have heard people saying that their experience with them was good ... there is not a vendor with a 20/20, some people love them, other hates them.If you are not confident about the sizing talk to your sales person and make her size you again, you have given them 50% of the price, so you are entitle to some peace of mind.
Good luck,
Elena

Re: Daniel Thompson gown... need help!
That's what FH said to do, and I probably should. But then they would be loosing their fee for alterations, which will probably be at least $500 and I feel like they'd give me some excuse not to. Just like they don't want to give me the designer's info. But maybe I am underestimating them and I should give them a chance. I don't know.

Re: Daniel Thompson gown... need help!
Hello. I am also a Bridal Couture bride. I will tell you I have had my ups and downs with them, but I went for my first fitting about a week ago and my dress came in a month earlier than expected and was beautiful. I had a customization made to the dress and it was perfect. Although I think they are ripping me off on alterations. They waned $325 just to do the bustle and take in the chest part a little bit. The hem and everywhere else fit perfectly. I got them down to $275.I found this online not sure if it is the vendor you are looking for:

Re: Daniel Thompson gown... need help!
Thanks everyone so much! The address and number:1375 Broadway, 14th Floor (212) 354-6929
that everyone is finding doesn't exsist anymore. I knew the phone didn't work, so I just went and was told that he hasn't had a salon in the building for at least 2 years, which is why I got so upset. I did find out that he is in Pa and I have his number there, I just have to call and see if we can work something out.
Thank you all again for your help.
