ALso, if you are willing to be flexible with time of year and day of the week and all those details then you can probably get a good deal at Leonards

Try Roma View catering. Their food and service is great! its in howard beach

When I went to Roma View they totally turned me off. I told them I was looking for under $70 pp and they said no problem it will be way under. Then they asked what type of party, when I said wedding they told me on no..... it will be WAY OVER $70 pp. So what is the difference if it was a party or wedding. I just got real disgusted with them

I think its bc you get alot more with a wedding. At a wedding you have CH and most parties you don't. So that alone can make a huge difference bc theres so much food at CH so that definitely increases the price. Sadly once you add wedding to anything the price increases. Even salons, if you go in to get hair done for no occasion its alot less but say its for a wedding and its going to cost double the price.

Roma view in my opinion is overpriced for how it looks. Astoria World Mannor, its ok, the price they quoted me was a little under 78 for August friday night, the food could be better though. as for Bruno's you may get the price depending on the time of the year, I was told for summer it would start at $70..I almost laughed at the girl when she told me (when you visit it, you will know why)

Dh's parents got married at astoria world manor 30 years ago.

Also i wouldn't exclude LI yet. THeres many places you can get a great deal. Irish coffee pub looks nice inside and heard food is very good. I remember girls posting their quotes and to the OP is around the range you are looking for.

Theres also some catering halls in LI that have the cp's included in their price and other stuff too, like an all inclusive package.

I saw pictures of Bruno's on their site and i didn't like their rooms at all. Also AWM's rooms looked a bit dated.

I am getting married at Riccardos by the Bridge. I am having a Sat afternoon buffet for $39 a head. When I booked it they threw in 2 carving stations and extra types of top shelf liquor that they do not usually have on the bar for N/C. I found them very accomodating. i am doing a food tasting in January and its in my contract that if I dont like the food and want to canc. I will get my whole dep back. Its a nice place but without all the extra glitter. If you are looking for glitter nd chandeliers its not the place for you though.
Dantes- my office has all the holiday and retirement parties there. The food is good and is very reasonable. But I decided against it because I wanted someplace else, somewhere I do go to 3 times a year.

my friend was married at Riccardo's ..the food is really good.

My cousin had her wedding there like 1992 and i remember the food was excellent. But i think the previous owners sold it so i'm still hoping the food is excellent still.

I am having my reception at Dante's for 2 reasons. 1) it's cheaper and 2) we know one of the guys who works there. It wont be as nice as some of the places out there such as Fox Hollows or w/e, but it's a place to celebrate. I want to say that the regular price was anywhere from $55-65 to begin. If you go in and ask to speak with Ed he is a sweetheart and he will definitely take care of you. :)

Its the same family that has owned it since the begining. I think its the nephew that runs it now. The story is on the website.

Hi- My mom threw my college graduation party at Dante's a few years ago. Food was ok and service wasn't that great. They ran out of one of the entree's ( I think it was chicken) and some of my guests had to change their order. Then the totally skipped a table and didn't even take their order until everyone else was practically done eating.

If you have a chance check out Villa Umberto's in Elmont. They have excellent food and the price is reasonable. I was just there for a sweet 16 and everyone was raving about the food. Also the service was great.

Hope that helps!
