I don't know what to do. I have dark drown arm hair. All of my life I have not cared. But I don't really like how it looks against my wedding dress. I don't want to wax it off... it seems like a pain to up keep. I was thinking of bleaching it. Has anyone ever done that? Does it look to blonde? Also, it you have done it... what bleach do you use?? I don't know what to do.
Do you think I should just not care and leave it. Or should I bleach it??
I know this is so random. I just don't know!!
Thanks for the help!

Re: dark arm hair question
Don't bleach it, it will look really yellow. My cousin used to do this and it looked terrible. If it really bothers you wax it or shave it just this once.

Thanks!! I guess I could wax it this one time and then it will be winter anyway while it grows back. I just don't really want arm hair stubble. haha.
Thanks again!

Re: dark arm hair question
Sorry to crash, I have done the hair bleaching, and I have found it works really well. It does depend on your skin tone though, I am very fair and it blends in, but I have seen others who are more tan than I am, and I have seen it look yellow.
If you have time, I would do a test patch somewhere that wont be obvious to see how it works on you.

Thanks so much!! That's a good idea... I am not fair skinned but also not too tan. somewhere in the middle. Maybe I will try a small area see how it looks and decide from there.
Any suggestions on what hair bleach to use??
Thanks again!

That is probably the easiest out of all the options... I am just scared to shave my arms. I've never done it before. Thanks for the tip!

Re: dark arm hair question
I've waxed it for years and it doesn't grow back to anything like it did when I was not doing it. The up keep insn't bad cause it doesn't grow back like leg hair.

I started waxing it but it got too pricey so now I just shave it. It's not stubly because arm hair is pretty thin.

I just started nairing my arms, it only takes 4 minutes and you're good for about 3 weeks. My arm hair never bothered my before but I notice that you can see it in pics and I don't want hairy arms for my wedding day.

Re: dark arm hair question
I am waxing my arms for the wedding. I'm blonde but have really hairy arms EW!!! and they showed in some of my b-pics EWWWWWWW!!! So I'm definitely waxing for the big day. It doesn't grow in stubbly when you wax, so I would recommend that over shaving at least for your wedding a million percent. I wouldn't recommend bleaching because it really can look yellow, and my hair is blond and you can still see it in pics so...

Re: dark arm hair question
I wax it and i know you said you dont want to bc of the up keep but its less of an up keep than bleaching. Waxing lasts a month or so, with my arms it takes longer to grow back. With bleaching you'd have to do more often.
I wouldn't bleach, if anything just nair it the night before if you really dont want to wax

i may have to try the nair technique if it lasts that long... it would be good for wedding and hm

Re: dark arm hair question
Ive been waxing for YEARS, i have ALOT of hair on my arms and its dark black and long. I have to say i used nair for the first time on my arms a few weeks ago and worked well. I had a party to attend in april, it was towards end of april and on my way home i realized how bad the hair on my arm was and i was wearing a sleeveless dress so i stopped at CVS bought the 3 minute nair since i had no time to have it waxed and JUST started growing back recently, almost a month later.

Re: dark arm hair question
I have the same problem i can't bleach caus eI have darker skin if you plan on doing any tanning DONT bleach! I have thick black hair. I bought Veet witht he razera thingy. It's been about a wekk and a half since I did it and the hair is now just starting to come back. It takes 6 minutes and you wash it off inthe shower. Painless and smell free
HTH FM me for more details

Re: dark arm hair question
just dont shave too much ladies, shaving makes hair grow back thicker so will show more, also you can get more hair. With waxing, in time you grow back less and less hair, it also grows back very soft and after a few years you won't have as much.

Re: dark arm hair question
I used to bleach my sideburns on my face when my hair was blonder and those bleaching kits turn me a reddish blonde color
