Re: Dark circles under eyes
Unfortunately my dermatologist says they are hereditary. I have them too - I always look exhausted.

Ack!! I'm all of those, I was doomed from birth! I too have dark circles. I am used to them by now, but if I don't get enough sleep people always think I'm sick.

Re: Dark circles under eyes
It can be hereditary or for some people the way their body is built they leak blood under the skin by your eye. This isn't dangerous, its just the cause of the dark circles. Its the same reason why your eye becomes dark and bruised when you have a nose job. The only really solution to dark circles in plastic surgery. You can try an eye cream to improve the quality of the skin, but it won't lighten the color.

Re: Dark circles under eyes
Its genetic... look at mine
Some eye creams actually have an active ingredient that 'shrinks' the veins around the eye helping to reduce the color. I have some of the studies at work showing the suppossed before and after pictures.

Yep, they're hereditary. Drinking a lot of water and using eye masks (cold slices of cucumber, for instance) can help a little bit. I just gave in and started using Mac concealer on mine!
