Annyone have any positives or negatives about a May wedding versus a July one? Outside cocktail hour. What would you choose?

Is it a day wedding or a night wedding? If day, May...If night July.

JMO I would pick May. My friend got married on July 3 last year during the massive heat year we had where it was in the 90's all week! She couldn't have the cocktail party outside. Although in May it could be cool or rainy (you can never predict the weather) I would go with May. At least no one will be sweating.

I guess I am in the minority I would say July over early May, esp if you are getting married at night.
I was married in July - for a few reasons...I have off in the summers...and I love the summer...like the smell of cut grass!!
BUT I did consider May...it would have been harder for me, b/c I could not take off work to prepare...but Oheka offered me a great deal for mothers day...so I did consider it
July 23rd is my mom's b-day...

I think May 7 will still be too chilly. Usually on Memorial Day it is still chilly, especially at night.

so yabbobay - what kind of weather did you have on your day? Did your guests (especially the men in tuxes) have a hard time with the heat? I personally LOVE summer. May 7th is a tough one cause it is so close to April - the rainy month! I don't think I will have a problem being hot b/c I am going with a sheath dress.
