I would chose Sept. as well. Men really do not have that much responsibility when it comes to being in a bridal party. Girls on the other hand have a lot and MOH has that much more. Good luck and Congrats

I'd go with 9/15, if there are only 2 guests that will have weddings back ot back it's no biggy.

Re: Date dilemma!!!! Pls help!!
I'd go with the sept. date. DH was in 2 weddings 6 days and 600 miles apart last year.
i agree that you might find the wedding 2 weeks later in october hectic...not to mention, what if you guys found and awesome deal on a 2 week honeymoon? you would have to decide between your own honeymoon or your friend's wedding...either choice would S UCK!!!!

First of all, you have an incredible friend! I have to agree with the majority of other LIW posters...the Sept. date sounds more conducive to meeting your needs. Your FBIL will get over having two weddings in a row. You also might want some breathing room b/w your wedding and your friends wedding.

Either choice is a tuff one but I think I would go with September cause like other girls have already stated it's inconviencing less people and either way you go someone has to be inconvienced.

To be fair to your friends, I would do labor day. It's the easiest option without affecting your friends schedules or wallets and it allows people to make it a little vacation if they want. I would send out a little Long Island guide to the guests to see if they want to come to the island early and enjoy some of our beautiful places of interst.

Our hall doesn't have that weekend open....but thanks for the suggestion!
Most of the people coming to the wedding are from Queens & LI, so most will not be staying at a hotel or using accomodations near the hall- there's just a few that are from upstate NY and a handful are coming from Finland (my mom's entire family is there!!).

That is a tough decision. IMHO I think you need to put everyone else's needs aside (it is YOUR day!) see what fits you best. Good luck!
