David's Bridal Nightmare

Okay, I try not to complain, but this time i can't help it! Although I've posted before saying that I had a good experience ordering dresses from David's Bridal, I'd like to renege on that. I'm waiting for my last BM dress to come in. They said 12 weeks, so I wait 12 weeks, (not to mention this is an exchange for a dress they ordered in the wrong size) half way through I inquire with the store to make sure the dress is on order and the woman in the store say, oh, it's on order, you just have to wait the 12 weeks. To make a long story short, the dress was suppose to be in Monday.... guess what, THE ORDER WAS NEVER PLACED AND I'M GETTING MARRIED OCT.13. Now I'm fine with people making mistakes, no one is perfect, this I know, but when no one bothers to return any of my phone calls, and when i finally do talk to someone at David's they think shipping the dress to the Carl Place store (over an hour away from me) and getting it there Sept. 13 is fine, never offering an apology or trying to get me the dress quicker... My BM is from out of town. That is not enough time. I AM SO PISST. The customer service there is ridiculous. Maybe I’m too emotional right now to give advice, but I'd like to go on record warning all of you against David's Bridal. This whole ordeal with them started back in March, when they ordered all the wrong sizes.... including my dress! UGH...

Thank you for the post. I was there over the weekend (in Carle Place) for my wedding dress and things went well, but you are not the first person I have heard complain about the BM dresses, so I will not go there for them. I hope everything works out for you. Hey, if everything went smoothly, you'd wonder what was going to go wrong!

I had an appointment with them for a dress fitting 2 weeks ago at 10:00am. Someone called me twice to confirm the appt. When I got there at 10:00, they told me that the store doesn't open until 11:00Am! They drove me crazy! They even had me in their appt book at 10:00am! Not the greatest service.

Customer Service There Sucks!

I had never had a worst experience in a clothing store as I had there. The lady who 'greeted' me at the door was very nasty and couldn't remember I thing I told her. It took her over 20 minutes to have someone help me look at the dresses. On top of that, all of the bridal dresses were ripped or had pen marks all over them. I will never recommend anyone use them. I have also heard many horror stories similar to rony0509

David's is the worst!!!!

I had the same experience with David's and I posted in the past trying to talk brides out of using them, because it is just added grief. My advice is to go to the location. This is what I did when my bm dresses were 17 weeks late. I went there and refused to leave, amazingly all the dresses were in the back, they were never unpacked. If you log on to the better business web site, and do a search, the inforation for David's headquarters is listed, you may want to contact them as well! good luck!

I'm so glad you mentioned the BBB. I am sooooo writing a letter to their headquarters. I spoke with the DM today and she's going to ship the dress to my house. I gave her an earfull. I found out that they have a PO in for the dress which means they're MAKING IT!!! NOT SHIPPING IT FROM SOMEWHERE. UGH! Don't they know they shouldn't piss off a bride? Thanks for all the other posts, I don't feel so alone in this any more.
