Re: David's Bridal?
I was there a few weeks ago with my BP to order dresses. we had a great experience! the new location in the source mall is a HUGE improvement. I liked the fact that they have everything out in plain sight so you can browse on your own.

I have had a positive experience at David's too. They can be a little unorganized most of the time, but the people are friendly and courteous, the prices are great and they have a great selection.
This past weekend, I had my first fitting with the alterations department and the seamstress Angela was just as sweet as can be! When I was selecting dresses back in February, my consultant was Sherry who was also a doll.

I had a good experience. Just make sure you make an appt. I ended up going with an Oleg Cassini dress, on eof there more expensive lines, but still under $1,000. They are ordering it for me and it will probably be in in about 4 months.
Good luck!

Re: David's Bridal?
Good experience with David's bridal, but the only minor inconvenience I had with them was when I needed a size they didn't have. The salesgirl told me she called all the David's in the area and they didn't have it so I'd need to order it from her. My mom and I called another David's and they had the size I needed! I guess the salesgirl just wanted the commission. When I went to the second store I had no problems. I even changed my mind on my tiara and they let me exchange it for a different one, which was less money, and gave me store credit for the difference.

I don't plan on going to David's but my friend had a bad experience there. They made her dress way to small and she had to go to a different place and order a new one with only 3 months until her wedding.

got two dresses from them and they were really great. I also got all my BM's dresses there. I took them elsewhere for alterations though, because I heard some not so good stuff about the alterations dept.

David's Bridal was the first place I went to... Specifically, it was the one in Carle Place. The employees were rude and when I asked their opinions on dresses, they were like, 'I don't know........' They were all in bad moods, it was like shopping for a funeral dress. I got my dress at the Wedding Center... I also got the BM dresses there, tuxes, Mom got her dress there, as did FMIL. We have had only positive experiences there. Prices are good, they give you honest opinions and always make you feel welcome.

Re: David's Bridal?
I had a not so great experience there. I specifically chose Davids for my BM dresses because its a national chain and my bm's are all over the country. I asked them if the girls were to order the dresses from diff. locations, could they all be linked up to my name and ordered at the same time (so the dye lot would match). I was told it was no problem. Well - the girls all went to diff. stores and put their sizes and styles in the computer. My MOH was in charge of actually 'placing' the order. She did that and was given a date that they were to come in. When she called to double check something with the order, they told her that she wasn't allowed to do that, only the bride could. So, i went into the store near me and figured i'd try to sort it out. Long story short.. they randomly ordered some of the girls dresses and not any of the others and they were all sent to the different stores even though the girls shipping addresses were given when the order was placed! So, now I have to keep my fingers crossed that all the dresses colors are consistent because the girls won't be all together to compare until the day before my wedding.
In all the times i've been there (to the one in Carle Place, now the Source) it seems to me that the girls that work there are just out of high school and are very disinterested in the customers. They dont' seem very organized or like they even know what they're doing. For a national company who deals with wedding things, i'm disappointed in the lack of knowledge and service they've provided me.

I had a great experience there with Marie. When we went back for the BM dresses, she even let me play a little and try on my dress for everyone.
They do work them really hard there so if you are looking for individual attention, youwon't get it. But they have a huge selection in any size you need.

Re: David's Bridal?
Do you need an appt to look at special occasion or BM dresses? I think I want something from the mix and match collection for myself for a wedding that I am going to!

Re: David's Bridal?
People will slam david's bridal, but I got my dress there, saved a lot of money, and I loved it. I did get the alterations done elsewhere bc of the horror stories I've heard about their alterations.

Re: David's Bridal?
try the website planetfeedback.com and put in davids bridal it will give you complaints and compliments on them. I had a bad experience there with a BM dress for my friends wedding but I know someone who got their wedding gown there and loved it.
