I have begun looking for a dress. one of my stops was davida bridal. They told me that you have to buy the dress that they have on the rack! is that true? I want my own dress! one nobody else has ever tried on! is this a common thing? are all places like that? Any suggestions for bridal shops in suffolk? if not than nassau will be ok.

its not ture..dont fall for it..i worked at davids over the summer for a little while..they only get commission if you buy off the rack so they urge you to..you can have it ordered..just say you plan on losing weight..or make something up..IT IS 100% NOT TURE LADIES!!!

That's great! Does that mean you offically ordered your dress and are done shopping? If so, congrats!!!!

I got my dress from there and I got a brand new one. The back of the dress was torn and I told them that I would like a new dress...I would not have gotten it if they wouldn't order me a new one...I did not like the idea of wearing a dress that lots of people have tried on! I have to say that I have had a great experience with DB, even though some girls have their horror stories!

Yeah I don't know why they would make you buy a wedding gown off a rack.
But yet, you can order a BM dress? Go figure!

I got my BM dresses & FG dresses from their and Davids Bridal & their staff was absolutely wonderful and amazing. The lines are just alittle long...!.....either that or I'm just impatient
