i got my dress from the db's in lake grove. they were very nice and accommodating. as far as selling your info i have not really had a problem. the only people who have contacted me because of them is 'men's warehouse' because they are affiliated in terms of having the vests and ties that match their exact color pallets.

Re: David's Bridal
they are okay...there was a dress i thought was nice and the woman helping me told me 'this dress probably wont be around by the time your wedding comes around so you should order now'...........considering i didnt like the dress that much, it was the first place i went, and it was at davids bridal aka...there are a lot more options elsewhere, i thought she was a bit pushy.

I'm going to start off with David's Bridal to figure out what dresses best fit my body but i doubt I'll order my dress from them. (Heard too manyh negative things concerning their company and really do not feel up to the hassle.)

Re: David's Bridal
I went to david's bridal in lake grove.
I had a great experience with them getting my dress. u just need an appointment.
Also, they told me a bridesmaid dress I liked was going to be discontinued in a few weeks.. well 7 months later it is still there. I've heard they do that a lot to get you to buy things right away.
Also my best friend bought her bridesmaid dresses there, I had no problem getting that either. The alterations were fine too, but I also didn't need much done.

They have nice stuff but I wouldn't do any type of alterations with them. My cousin had such a nightmare with the lk grove store with her bridesmaid and wedding dress alterations

I have only been to the one in Queens but it was a nice experience. They let you try on as many dresses as you want. They were very helpful and nice.
I agree with what previous poster said about the fake # though because I got so many phone calls/emails from random vendors immediately following my appt. there and it started getting very annoying

i went to the one in lake grove and had a good experience and got my dress from there. no complaints at all! and i agree with kristend that the only place that has contacted me is men's warehouse because of them having the same color vests and stuff for the men.

Re: David's Bridal
I went to the one in Westbury and I found the staff to be kinda rude... and we weren't even there when it was busy! We made an apointment for like, a Thursday afternoon in February, we were the only people in the store and the consultant was very short with both of us. We were shopping for BM's and my friend's wedding dress.
Then, they never called me to tell me my BM dress came in... I had to call them 9 weeks later to find out it had been sitting there for weeks already... and when I went to pick it up they didn't offer to let me try it on or ask if I needed alterations, just handed me the bag and said have a nice day.
I dunno, it wasn't a fabulous experience, but it could just be that store... I wouldn't go to that one though.

Thanks ladies, I doubt I will buy my dress from them but I do like some of the dresses online so I just wanted to try them on...if I did purchase there thought I would probably have the alterations done elsewhere.
Did anyone sneak pics?

me too. I took a billion pictures.
I even went there last week with my sister to just browse the bridesmaid dresses and I have like 50 pictures of her in all different dresses. They have no issue with taking pics.
At one point I said to my sister 'Hold still I need to zoom in on your boobs' because the dress she had on had a lot of detail around the bust - and the lady who worked there was cracking up and saying that she always hears the most random stuff when people are trying on dresses.
