Davids Bridal

I need to vent....I am soo upset! I got a call on Saturday that my dress was in, I went over to David's bridal & they handed me a dress stuffed into a dry cleaning bag & told me to take it home & try it on??? They told me that thet were backed up so that it would be better if I tried it at home...I asked if they had a garment bag, the girl handed me a bag & told me it was $10 are you kidding after I sent all this money plus all my girls were getting dress from there.

I get home to find that two buttons are missing & there is a small run!! UGGGGH I WANT TO SCREAM!!!

Re: Davids Bridal

Which DB did you go to? That really stinks, DEFINITELY return that dress! But maybe bring it to a different store with your receipt so you don't have to deal with those people anymore!

Re: Davids Bridal

Which location did you go to? When I picked up my dress from the Lake Grove location, they made me sign that I was taking it home and that I approved of the state it was in. I know they are busy there, but you shouldn't have been overlooked like that.

And I agree....making a girl pay $10 for the cheapest garment bag is ridiculous. They are horrible quality and for the amount of money most girls spend there, it seems very silly. Then again, you have to pay $1 for a friggin color swatch too...so it doesn't surprise me.

Sorry you aren't having a great experience with them

Re: Davids Bridal

Oh I so feel your pain...they did basically the same thing to me...the only difference is they weren't even busy! I hope your dress turned out okay because I insisted on trying mine on before I left and good thing I did because it was damaged. They can be quite difficult to deal with.

Re: Davids Bridal

OMG when I picked up my dress from the massapequa store I had the same issue with them stuffing it in a dry cleaner bag and the sleeves were shoved in those indented pieces to hold it up, I was like your kidding me you need to re-hang this for me and put it in a non see through bag like they can't afford to buy hangers that actually fit the dress or heavier bags..... I was upset myself they said don't worry when you come back for alteration they will steam all the creases out of it.... I was like ya and I guess if a hole appears in the sleaves they will fix that tooo and charge you... You spend so much money on your dress to have it given to you like that.... they should be ashamed of themselves....

Re: Davids Bridal

I had a similar experience at the Westbury one and went to the one in Massapequa and they were lovely. Go see Jennifer she is great there!

I know when I picked up my dress for the first time it was in the plastic bag as well. I was like UGHHH!! but that's Davids for ya!

I actually went in to pick up my dress last night and tried it on and started to cry. I returned it and got a totally different one and they were sooo helpful. I think you really have to find a great sales lady.
