David's Bridal

David's Bridal

Hi ladies. I'm thinking of starting the wedding dress search at David's Bridal. I just want to get an idea of different styles and see what type looks better on me. I've heard that different David's Bridals are better than others. Is there a big difference between the Westbury and Massapequa locations?

I heard the Massapequa one is better. But if you get it there, to probably get alterations done elsewhere, no matter what David's Bridal you go to.

I've been to Massapequa and Westbury. The thought of entering the Westbury one again makes me cringe. I went for bridesmaid dresses about 3 years ago with my friend and couldn't get ANYONE to help us. There were workers that were too busy standing around talking to help, so I took it upon myself to get the dresses and the dressing room. When I went up to pay, the cashier asked who I worked with (for commission purposes) and I told her no one. She didn't believe me, and when I explained to her what happened, she was just like oh, ok. I just went to the Massapequa one a month or so ago to look and they were much nicer - even though I didn't have any of my girls with me.

Yikes! So Massapequa it is! Or maybe I'll just start my search somewhere else lol. Any suggestions for a no-pressure place that will help me figure out silhouettes? Thanks ladies!

I've had nothing but positive experiences at David's Bridal in Massapequa. I bought my dress from there actually.

Massapequa was good but honestly I felt the MOST pressure there when I looked. They kept asking me after every dress if they should ring the bell. I visited I think 4 other salons and didn't feel like that.
I had a GREAT experience at Massapequa this afternoon looking for bridesmaid dresses though! Def recommend it!

THIS!!!

My SIL got her wedding dress (which she LOVED) for a GREAT deal at David's (though neither of the two locations you mentioned), paid almost as much to have the alterations done there, and they TOTALLY botched the dress. It was unwearable a few weeks before her wedding. She had to take it elsewhere to have it fixed last minute.

I have heard great things about the Massapequa one. I got my dress and bridesmaids dresses at the one in Lake Grove but I guess that one might be a bit far for you. GL!

Not sure about Massapequa but I didnt love the one in Westbury. I jus felt like the saleperson was not interested. Perhaps it was bc we were looking at bridesmaids dresses and not wedding gowns.
Not sure where you live but try Bridal World, Bridal reflections, Lilettes.
