Would you use them?

Re: Davids Bridal

I purchased my dress there...and I was one of those who said they would NEVER buy their dress there...but one day I went with my mom and sister and tried some on, although I wasn't really crazy about any of the dresses I was picking out to try on. Then the dress that I never would have picked out for myself, which was chosen by my sister is the dress I fell in love with and bought.

I took the dress home the following week and am having it altered elsewhere...I didn't trust them with that.

Re: Davids Bridal

I used to work at David's Bridal in Danbury, CT, so I knew all about the way things operated there. However, I liked a lot of the dresses I used to sell, so I figured I'd go back.

I received the 'You used to work here' treatment.

Let's also mention the fact that another girl bought the same dress I did that day (EIGHT sizes smaller), but we went home with each other's dresses!!! Getting them to order me a new one was like pulling teeth. To be honest, I will never darken that doorstep again - I'm going to find someone else to alter my dress.

Look it's not always a nightmare story, and you can save a good deal of money. Sometimes, you'll even get good service.

I really love my dress, my bridesmaids love my dress and their dresses, and my mom is really excited about her dress. That's what I'm choosing to focus on.

My mom, BMs, Jr BMs and FG all got their dresses there but they are doing alterations somewhere else. So far I am happy. We havent picked the dresses up yet, but so far so good. I found going later at night, weekdays during the day or first thing (10 am Saturday) was the best times. It gets crazy around 1-5 on Saturday and Sunday.

I bought my dress at a David's Bridal in NJ...and so far, they have been great! It hasn't come in yet...but I plan on using them for my alterations. The ones in NJ seem to be a little more customer service oriented than the ones in LI. Wish me luck!

Re: Davids Bridal

I have to say I had a great experience at Davids (in Carle Place) I bought my dress there and it came in early, no problems..my BMs dresses were from there, again came in early, no problems, My FG dresses (off the rack) no problems, MIL dress (brand new dress came in the day before) no problems.

I had great service (except didn't like Etta) and everything was early arrival, no problems.

I did not have my alterations done there (was a little scared)

Good Luck!!
