David's Bridal alterations

David's Bridal alterations

Hey ladies, I am a little torn. I need to set up my appointment for dress fittings and get alterations done. I think that David's Bridal overcharges and I am hesitant to get my alterations done.

Unfortunately, DB washes their hands clean of any issues if you get alterations done elsewhere. I don't know if I should get the alterations done at DB or not.....and if any of you have the information of seamstresses you used that have been really good, could you give me their information?

THANK YOU!!!

I used david's bridal for alterations. I used them because my dress was from them and I felt like they know their dresses. They are a little aggrivating, but got the job done right and on time.

good luck!

I was nervous about getting alterations done by them too. I think I am going to though. Two of my friends had alterations done there and everything was fine. I have heard some mixed reviews though. I think it had more to do with the craziness there than the alterations themselves.

I am getting mine done there although my BM had a bad experience there the other day when she went to pick up her dress.
They would NOT let her try it on. They said all rooms are full. Just sign this.
She was very pissed so she put on in store over her clothes.
I couldn't believe that when she told me. I can't believe they were so nasty.

Yeah, I was thinking about just getting them done there. At least if they screw it up, they take responsibility for it....so it makes sense to get it done there....I wish they didn't charge such a fortune for it though.
