has anyone used this color from Davids? I've chosen which dress I'm sure that i want for my BM's and i relaly love this color im just nervous about it being such a deep purple that it will look almost black in photos. My wedding is in October 2011, should i just go with my second choice color, Sangria since its more of a traditional fall color anyway?

lapis doesn't look almost black at all. i can clearly see that it is a dark purple. and your getting married in october, go for it!

thats what i thought too but my sister got me all worried that its gonna come out really dark in photos and its not gonna look right next to the guys in their tux's

I wore lapis from DB for my cusins wedding last year and it didnt look black, you can tell it was dark purple.

thanks ladies i think i just needed to be reassured with a second opinion, i personally love the lapis just a tad bit more than the sangria so im just gonna go with my gut and pick the lapis

I also wore lapis last October as a BM in my friend's wedding. The dress in all photos (pro and non-pro) didn't like remotely black. It was clearly deep purple.

I am using the exact same color for my BMs dresses!!! LOVE LOVE LOVE the color. Not sure if you have visited DB but depending on what fabric you chose the color will look either a little lighter or darker. I think its perfect!!! GO FOR IT!!

my girls tried it on and it was pretty! I went with the wisteria instead because I thought it was too dark for a summer wedding...but the color was def. not black just dark purple. I think it would be perfect for fall :)
