David's Bridal - HELP!

HI Ladies, I went to 4 different bridal stores today and it was a nightmare to be honest. My mom and I are just polar opposites and all my fears came true - it ******!! With that said, I did find two dresses at David''s that I liked, but have hear mixed reviews with alterations. If you had your dress altered at any of them, can you please give me feedback of that particular location!! Thanks

Re: David's Bridal - HELP!

I bought my wedding dress from Davids in Massapequa. I have had two bm dresses altered there and had a great experience. My sister bought her wedding dress at Davids and it was altered at the Massapequa store. My mother bought her dresses for mine and my two siblings and all the dresses have been altered there. Even my cousin who bought her wedding dress at the Westbury store ended up having her dress altered at the Massapequa store after a bad experience with the alteration people at the Westbury store.

So yea I guess you could say I have nothing but good things to say about the Massapequa store and their alterations.

ITA!! I bought my dress from the Westbury store and had such a HORRIBLE experience. I took my dress to the Massapequa one, and actually just picked it up today. Fernando did a wonderful job working with it and it looks great! I'd stay away from the Westbury store.

I have heard great things about Joan as a consultant and the alterations dept has had decent reviews from what I heard (Rosa, i think was the name of the alterations person)

This is tough because if you found something you like, I would go for it. I didn't get my wedding gown there but did get a BMs dress there from my friends wedding. The alterations popped by the time the ceremony was over on almost every dress.

On the alternate side, I had a terrible experience at the Massapequa store. Also two of my girls bought dresses at Stonybrook, and the consultant told my friend 'she looked dumpy' in one of the dresses she tried on. I'm not sure where you live, but I got my dress in Long Island City (Queens) and had an amazing experience. Yudith is the BEST!!

I'm having my alterations done at the Lake Grove location ... there seems to be a language barrier in the alterations department there ...
