Davids Bridal....???? i am afraid to get opinions?
I just ordered my dress from Davids they were nice BUT I felt so rushed and pressured
Plus they want you to take your dress right away? they come in quick??
Anyone have thoughts...????

The newer Davids , near Smithhaven mall they were pushy and I feel like I ordered sooo fast but I do love my dress

I know I went there also and I am actually going there Saturday for my BM dresses but when I went to look for mine a couple of mnths back they were very nice but pushy!With your dress you would still have to get it altered so you wont have to take it home for a little while ! Which dress did you order ?

I would be worried if you said you felt rushed and now doubt your dress choice! But since you love it, then that's fine! Show us a pic!!!!!
I know exactly how you feel though - I have re-thought so many of our decisions for the wedding but then I always remember WHY we booked/bought/chose what we did and I feel good about it again. Now I feel it less and less when we get something for the wedding, so I guess it can go away as you get/plan more and more

I am exactly like you LOL I am a 2 dress bride and my dress didnt come in yet but i get to go visit it on Saturday when my MOH is here she hasnt seen it yet But I think its all nerves !! I keep changing my mind about things b/c I always wonder if my decision was good enough lol

I hear ya about the pushy thing. I got mine at David's Bridal in Westbury and I actually took mine home as well. If you love the dress, then don't even sweat it--that's the most important thing!
It's so easy to second-guess EVERYTHING since so much money is being spent, but you have to stop and think about why you chose what you chose and remind yourself that you chose things because that's what you like.

YES!!! and the more people I tell,. the more opinions I GET ... more confused, etc
FH thinks I am INSANE-lately, he likes everything, he is WAY too easy going!! lol
This Davids Bridal is supposed to have a great rep. and have excellent sales people I went to 'Diana' a new girl

Beautiful dress!!
I got my gown from David's as well - but I am having altered elsewhere. They do make you pick it up when it's delivered. You will have to bring it back when it's time for the fitting.

I get more confused the more opinions I get, which is why I've been keeping a lot hush-hush around me so as to avoid the inevitable opinions and criticisms.

I got my dress from there too.....and have mine already. Have had it for months now. Im not getting it altered there though.....I did take my dress to where I am getting it altered last Saturday and they are able to keep the dress there for me until the alterations are done....... By the way.........My first fitting is SEPTEMBER 1!!!! WOOHOO

Yes--is there a good place for alterations that anyone can recommend??? I know there's Phyllis, but I don't know if I want to drive out to Dix Hills since I live in Nassau.
I did, however, try to schedule a fitting with David's Bridal and I couldn't do it because I couldn't undertstand the lady on the other end of the phone.

I LOVE that dress!
I believe my friend was able to have them hold on to her dress at the store for a little while - you can tell them you want to have alterations done there, but then pick it up because you 'changed your mind' or whatever.
