Re: Davids Bridal in Westbury

If this is the one near the mall in carle place. I don't suggest going there. My first visit was nice malasia help a lot to find my perfect dress. But when I made an appointment for my bp to go they were to busy to keep up with appointments. so when the girls found their dresses and paid for them they told me at least 6 Weeks they would be ready, and that I would get a call. so when I haven't received a call I called about 8 Weeks later I had called on a Sunday, they said they were too busy to look up a dress order that I would have to call back. And she wasn't to polite about it either. so I called that weds. And the girl had looked up on the computer and said nobody contacted you. I'm sorry your dress have been in since the end of march. Almost 4 Weeks ago. I was furious. Then she said we greatly appreciate if you pick them up asap because they are moving.

Thumbs down.

ETA: They almost let me order a dress that was discontined already and I bet they were going to give me the sample for the original price.

I got my dress there. I got wonderful service. Even when I changed the bridesmaids dresses, the service was great. I would go there in the evening when its less busy

I've been there a couple of times and no one even said hello!

They are so helpful with buying, but TERRIBLE with alterations. I would buy a dress there, and then go elsewhere for your alterations.

I went there 2x's to try on dresses and my FSIL helped me get them off the rack and put them on and off - the saalesgirls just kinda watched the whole time! lol

i was told i had to have an appointment to try on just one dress, which in a way, i can understand. HOWEVER, they made me sit around for nearly an hour, in an almost empty store, and even when the people who had appt's didn't show - they still told me i had to wait. Finally, i got so fustrated, I snuck into the BM section of the dressing room with the dress I liked and just tried it on.

IMO, you might find a lovely dress at a wonderful price- but you might just have to deal with some nonsense to get it.
