I was skeptical about my mom purchasing her shoes from this store because of the nightmares I've heard with them. However, she was able to find shoes in her size..so she bought her shoes from them and had them dyed. Her dress was purchased in another store, and the girl from Davids helped us find the color that 'supposedly' would match her shoes. Well after debating with her that the gold color she chose would not match, and champagne would..she INSISTED that gold would be a 'perfect' match. Now seeing as how they do this all the time and are supposed to have knowledge..my mom went with her opinion. Well..I went to pick up the shoes yesterday and guess what? The color is TOTALLY OFF!! My mothers dress is a champagne/beige color and the shoes were a flashy gold. Not only didn't they match, ..but they did a sh***y job as well. The shoes were spotty and looked HORRIBLE!!! I'm sorry but IMO this store S**KS!!! After 45 minutes of basically just standing there..with no one helping us...I had to ask for the manager, who I have to say was very nice (surprisingly). She offered to have another pair of shoes shipped to the store and dyed the color we wanted. She didn't understand why the girl chose that color when it didn't even come close to matching..and seemed pretty upset about it. The only problem is..that the shoes will not be in until 10/3 and dyed by 10/5 (I hope). My wedding is 10/13...and as much as I don't want to stalk them...looks like I'm gonna have to. Why it takes so long for shoes to come from Queens to Yonkers is beyond me...but that's what they told me. I'm ready to go pick them up myself in Queens just so that they can be done. If they mess this up...I have NO idea what my mom is going to do for shoes. It's bade enough she's a size 5! I am SO glad I didn't get my dress from this store. I'm sure there are many brides who haven't had problems...but the amount of complaints I've heard from this store..is unbelievable.

If David's messes up, or you just don't trust they'll have it done in time, PayLess shoes can dye shoes for you and they sell lots of white style shoes that can be dyed to whatever color you want.

GET OUT?? I didn't know they did that. The only problem is that my mom's feet are so tiny...they hardly ever have her size..and white shoes at that. I'm hoping that this time around they will get it right. for me

If you bring a swatch of the dress to the place I used for my shoes she can pick out shoes and have them back - dyed - in 1 - 2 weeks. He does an awesome job on them as well. I don't know exactly where you are located, but it is really close to the nassau-queens border on the nassau side on the south shore (but only like 5 - 10 minutes in). FM me if you want details! In the mean time for your stress
PS - Big selection, lots of sizes (Some of my girls have small feet too). There must be at least 35 different pair of shoes that match anyone's style

Michelle!!!! I feel your pain, they did the same thing to my sisters shoes for my wedding the week of!!! I know what you are going through. If you go on Central Avenue in Yonkers, right at the beginning, there is a Coloriffics store that only does dyeables. They are in a little strip mall on the right if you are traveling north bound on Central. Try them, Davids is a JOKE!!! Sorry you had to go through this!!!

Leslie.....I'm gonna take a drive up there tomorrow. The bad thing is @ Davids everything is a 'final sale'..so no money back..only exchanges. These shoes are already paid for..but as a back up ...I'm going to Dyeables. Incredible. 4 weeks away....and now this!!

I know, they drove me nuts!!!! My sisters shoes were a hunter green when they should have been a light peridot...I can't stand them!!!! Good luck, you are almost there, don't worry!!

When they wrecked my BM's dress the Saturday before my wedding, I made them overnight a new dress....It's not my problem that they can't get things straight.....Let them cover the cost of the overnight. What if your wedding was this weekend???

I know...I swear these bridal businesses are a rip off. They know you are at their mercy (somewhat) and take FULL advantage of that! Poor Danny..last night he called from Vegas and I was venting like a mad woman and broke down. Thank god he comes home tonight. We are going to be non stop..and this is now something else to add to the list.

PayLess has lots of sizes!! Not too many large sizes, but most of the shoes, when I bought mine, were in the 5, 6 and 7 range. I struggled to find an 8 or 81/2.
