Davids Bridal Rant

Davids Bridal Rant

This is the THIRD time I am having a bad experience with them. I had such a bad feeling when my friend decided to use them. I picked up my dress tonight for my friend's wedding (May 27) and it is HUGE on me. The straps are falling off my shoulders, the empire band that should be under my boobs is down to my belly button- its BAD. I told the girl I wanted one particular size and she said they run small and insisted I get the next size up. They won't even do alterations for me because they said they are completely booked. Now what do I do???

I'm not the best person for stuff like this but to not be bothered I'd take it to a dry cleaner I know specializes & does good alterations.

Maybe you can try another David's bridal that isn't so busy! I don't know how it works but I know my level of patience with things like this and I'd just take it to the dry cleaner. Some things are not worth the headache.

I would try to argue my case a little more for them to alter it . Sorry this happened!

I can't stand David's Bridal! Can't another place David's bridal do it?

THAT'S HORRIBLE!!! I would fight it 100% talk to whoever is in charge call the company make a big fuss! How can a company sell you a dress that's the wrong size clearly and then say they will not fix it?!?! OMG!!! I so angry right now for you.

ya know I did a great job when they tried this with my mom for my brothers wedding (it wasn't at davids but almost same story) I'll go and yell at them for you.

ehh I hate when dress places pull that crap about 'oo it runs small so we will order it a size larger for you' what a scam, just so they can make an extra buck doing alterations
I hope this works out for

I would probably take the dress somewhere reliable to get it altered and complain to the highest up people you can. Do whatever you can to get some money back to at least reimburse whatever you spent on the alterations.

To AlexandMike2012: If you get a bad feeling when you go write a letter. Most companies hate getting bad letters…write a letter and explain that you were going to get YOUR wedding dress there but now you want to take your business elsewhere (I would leave out the part where you can't lol) and demand they do something to keep your business. They should send you a gift certificate or coupon or something. As long as you give yourself enough time to make sure there are no issues you can get the dress you want and use a bad experience to get some money back lol

GOOD!! Are they free alterations??? I'd fight that one too if they aren't!

I'm not getting my dress altered where I bought it. Unless the alterations are included just take it somewhere else.

Why can't things just be simple and people do what they say they will!
