I know Davids Bridal gets mixed reviews on here so I just wanted to post my experience. I went to the one in Long Island City. They were absolutely wonderful- from when I picked out my dress down to the alterations. When I went for my 1st fitting the dress was tight- I was unable to zip it. The girls in the alterations dept worked miracles. They put in a corset like I wanted and made my dress fit like it was made for me. I dont know about other DB locations but the one in Long Island City was wonderful!

I am so happy for you Celia! I had a very similar experience with DB in Lake Grove. They were wonderful. No complaints form me.

I had an amazing experience too with DB the one in Massapequa. My sister has already order her dress from that store. Work with Nicole she is outstanding!!

no cap but their prices were very reasonable. They quoted me for a hem, and to take in around the waist like 250 or so.... can't remember exactly

no- there was no cap
no cap but their prices were very reasonable. They quoted me for a hem, and to take in around the waist like 250 or so.... can't remember exactly
I got it hemmed, a corset put in the back, it was let out around my hips and taken in at the bust and cups put in and it was $325. Not too bad considering all the work done

I wanted to stay away from DB too but my mom made an appointment at the Lake Grove store for when i came home and i felt bad b/c she was so excited so we went anyway. I can't say I was disappointed because I didn't expect much, but my mom was upset b/c she had her hopes up that they would be good. THe only positive thing I have to say about the place is I left the lights on in the parking lot and our car died but the girl who was helping us came out to jump the car, that was very nice of her!

Glad you have a great fitting.
I also had a great experience at that one (LIC). I did not get my dress but my mom is going to look for her stuff there.
