David's Bridal VENT!!!
UGH!!!!!
I went for my first fitting on January 21st at the one on Northern Blvd, LIC. My next appointment was for today at 5:30...3 WEEKS after the first fitting. I needed nothing major done...just to take the shoulders in a bit. And add a bussle.
Got to the store exactly 5:30. Went to pick up my shoes first because they were dying them to match my ivory dress. They were WAAAAAAAY too dark!!!! Almost yellow! The girl was trying to convince me I was wrong, it was the lighting in the store, etc. Fine, I say I will try them with the dress.
I then went to the alterations department...it's now about 5:40. Stood and waited for a good couple minutes until someone came out. Meanwhile, I could see through a slit in the curtain someone sitting there at a machine with a dress. Something told me that was my dress.....
The lady came out, took my receipt, and disappeared behind the curtain. I could hear hushed wispers with the person at the machine, and then I knew for sure....THAT WAS MY DRESS!
The seamstress had the NERVE to ask me to come back in 45 minutes; it wasn't ready yet!!!!!! HELLOO????? WTH have you been doing the past three weeks??????
To make a long story short, I was at the store for 2 1/2 hours. The dress fits fine, and the shoes are way too dark. The style was discontinued so I had to pick a new shoe. Then they had the NERVE to tell me I had to pay for the difference in the shoe!!!!!
I am so unhappy with David's Bridal. I've been dealing with both the Westbury store and the LIC store and have had nothing but problems. I have the name and contact info for the NY Rep and am writting a lengthly letter with a list of my problems. I'll post it tomorrow night so you can see what I have been going through.
