Davids Bridal-Westbury

Does anyone have any reviews about Davids Bridal in Westbury? I have read some bad reviews online. I went there yesterday to browse through the bridal party gowns and all the brides trying on their dresses seemed happy and excited. Please let me know!

I went there back in March it was fun. I tried on my old dress to make sure I didn't want it anymore (I know how is that fun? lol but it was fun trying on dresses anyway) but yeah we also did bridesmaids dresses and they were so nice. all my girls got their dresses and had no problems. I just wouldn't get alterations there.

I went I loved it the second time.. First time i went I was not thrilled. I worked with Cindy the second time and she was very attentive and helpful. i went on a thursday early afternoon just my mom and I and i found my dress after trying on about 10! She helped the whole way with zipping and corsets adn everything!!

why not do alterations there? I'm considering that one. I was completely turned off by the one in LIC.

I purchased my dress there and had a great experience. I also had alterations done and they did an amazing job. My dress has lots of layers and tule so the bustle was a big concern of mine. I am so in love with the final look. the dress is safe and sound at moms =)

BTW my dress came in, in about 2 weeks so I had to pick it up and hold it for months in my old closet.

If you buy the dress there you should get the alterations there unless you have someone you really trust. My SIL got her BM dress at David's bridal (in VA) she got her alterations done at a seamstress near where she lives bc the store she got it from was pretty far from her. She got the bust taken in but somehow the seamstress messed up so when she sits the dress scoots up and is pretty short. She couldn't take it back to David's bc someone else did the alterations. If the same thing had happened with the alterations done at the store they would have been responsible to fix it. Now she's stuck with a dress that rides up when she sits. Luckily for the pictures sake when she's standing you can't tell.

i was just in a wedding and our gowns were from there. they were very easy to deal with, friendly, and the dress came in super fast. i did the alterations there too and the dress fit perfectly.

I had a great time with my bridesmaids. We were able to pick out their dresses in about 30 mins and my BM's ranged from a size 2 to 26. Not an easy feat! I can't remember our attendant's name but she was really great and extremely attentive. I'm planning to go back to look for my bridal gown there. Plus they ring a little cow bell for you when you find your gown. So cute!

I personally didn't have a great experience. I went with my MOH to try on dresses for the first time just to get my feet wet. I made an appointment and was on time. The woman who 'helped' me was spending a lot more time with the walk-in customer in the fitting room next to me. I wasn't really bothered since it it allowed my MOH to take over and pull dresses for me since our saleswoman was busy. However, most women who are seriously shopping would probably prefer a bit more attention.

I personally did not like westbury DB. I feel like they are rude and rushy.. I love the one in Massapequa, that's where i found my gown and I loved everyone there who helped me!

I just scheduled my alterations appt there for January 11th. I hope I have the same experience that Canoli did, since she got her alterations done there and we're wearing the same gown.

I had a good experience at Westbury, but preferred the DB in Massapequa. That's where I ended up buying my dress. Haven't gotten to alterations yet so I can't speak to that.

I had a great experience in Westbury and found my dream dress for less then I could have ever imagined people keep asking me if I spent over $10,000, and if its a demetrios. My girls got there dresses there too. The service was amazing, and i have my alterations appointment on Jan 4th. Horrific experience in Massapequa I went in for my MOH to try on dresses and to retry my dress so she could see me in it. it took them 45 min to inform me they didnt carry my dress in their store, and then as i was getting dressed they were knocking on the door asking if I could please hurry they needed my room for a bride. I said are you guys for real I am a BRIDE!!!!!!!!!

I had a great experience there as well. I think my appointment was with Nina. She was amazing and really took the time to help me. I'm going to go back to have my BM's try on dresses.
