Day After Brunch Suggestions Please

Day After Brunch Suggestions Please

Hi
I'm starting to think about day after brunch ideas.

It'll just be immediate family and bridal party so roughly 20 or so people. No private room or anything. Just a good place to go for brunch.

I'm OK with buffet or order off the menu, preferably less than $25 per person.

Ideally it would be great if it was a place with good food and a good view on the water. But good food is more important than good view!

Location would be nice if it's somewhere in between Hauppauge towards Bayside Queens area.

Thanks so much!

Are you guys having OOT guests stay at a hotel? Sometimes the hotel has a brunch option?

Hi!
We do have other OOT guests at the hotel. The hotel has a restaurant but it doesn't offer breakfast or anything like that. I'm sure I probably get them to set something up but it'll probably be $$$. So I'll rather go elsewhere after checking out. :)

Nice! Captain Bills has a great spread and I'm assuming a great view. It's a bit out of the way but definitely worth considering. Thanks!

There might be a near-by diner that everyone could meet at... It usually does not cost anything to make a reservation in a back room for that many people and the average breakfast at a diner is around $15-20... I hope this helps a bit :)

56 fighter and hudson mill have decent brunches

It may be worth talking to the hotel as mentioned though, we are having a private buffet brunch for 2 hours and it came to around $20pp, which would be less than the restaurants. I just like to roll out of bed, go downstairs to eat JMO!

Re: Day After Brunch Suggestions Please

I checked with our hotel and um yeah. Muy expensive.

But no worries! Talked to FI last night and we're going to do dim sum instead! I really wanted to do this but I wasn't going to suggest it because FI's father is a super picky eater. But FI said he can just go get him some American breakfast stuff while everyone else (who does like Chinese) do dim sum. I'll just have to get my brother to call and ask them to reserve us a private room or two tables.

There's a place 15 minutes away from my brother's house (Towards LI) that we always go to that's great so we'll be going there.

YAY!

Thanks ladies!
