We are going to be treating, if people are paying the expense of staying over night, then in my opinion paying for breakfast for them is the right thing to do.

I don't think you have to do a breakfast the next day and i'm sure that people making their own hotel arrangements won't expect one. If you want to meet for breakfast The Celebrity Diner in Syosset has great breakfasts. Maybe you can meet your guests there and pay for breakfast.

I think if you pay a minimal fee, they can meet you at the Inn at Fox Hollow for breakfast.

i don't think it is a necessity

I think it's $15.00 per person to have non-guests at the breakfast, and I believe it's from 7-10am, but I've read on these boards from another bride that they extended the breakfast to almost 11am for her and her bridal party.

The other hotel won't give you a comp room for the night of??? That's crazy!! Every hotel we checked out had a free room for the B&G if they booked a certain amount of rooms. DId you ask?? Or are you happy with the Fox Hollow because it is right there?

We didn't end up booking the Fox Hollow because they were going to charge us to have the post-wedding breakfast in a seperate room and I didn't want everyone sitting in their common eating area and having breakfast with people we didn't know -- I wanted it to be a little more intimate and have everyone sit at the same table or tables next to each other.

We ended up booking at the Huntington Hilton and they have a restaurant where they will put tables together for up to 20 people and private rooms for groups bigger than that. We are only inviting those staying at the hotel otherwise it would get out of hand.

i dont think breakfast is a necessity at all. if its something you are interested in maybe they can provide breakfast voutures or something for your guests; that is what our hotel is doing.
