Day of Coordinator?!?!?!?

Day of Coordinator?!?!?!?

So I've been exposed to something new the other day and now I'm wondering whether it is necessary to have a Day of Coordinator. I'm wondering whether I shoul have one now....any insight and recommendations? How much would something like that cost me for the day? I live in Nassau and having my reception in the Bronx so I would want someone locally and not from Suffolk.

Any insight is greatly appreciated!! :o)

There are lots of brides who used a DOC and also many who haven't. It's really up to you though. It can be done without one but depends if you want help. I personally did not want to be bothered at ALL with any details the day of. I already did all the planning i could for 2 years and wanted to just relax that day and enjoy it. If there were any problems I didn't want to deal with it or even know. I also didn't want my family or bp to deal with anything, just wanted them to enjoy the day too.

I paid about $600 i think. Prices are between $500-700 usually. Some can be higher though

I think if it fits in your budget- go for it. It will take less stress off of you, your family, and your BP. However, if its not something you can see yourself spending the money on, I don't think you'll miss having one at your wedding. Whichever you choose you should be fine.

I agree with the other brides here...it'snot necessary but it's nice to have...I didn't have one and I don't think I needed it but it also wasn't in the budget lol.

I don't think I'm going to have one. I have two MOH's, my mother, FMIL, and my bridal attendant. I think with all of them, everything can be covered.

I booked with Ryan from Above and Beyond...I like the idea of having somone to worry about the issues on the day of. I dont want to be stressed out by anything! To me its worth every penny

I'm hoping the bridal attendant will be enough.

I appointed one of my BM's to help me with everything. I have ten of them so I am hoping between that and the Bridal Attendant we are more then fine.

I did originally want one though!

I didn't have one, and didn't need one. My maitre'd and bridal attendant were awesome and on top of everything. I did however, have a fairly small wedding. If you're having a large event, it might be worth considering. It's really a matter of personal preference.
