I know this was posted previously but can you please recommend your DOC? FH actually ASKED for one tonight and I am so happy b/c I was thinking about getting on on my own. His family is being so ridiculous and we can't even get their opinion on anything anymore.
We would like a DOC to help us work with the vendors and make sure everything goes smoothly without having to involve our parents or ourselves on our day.
You can also FM if you want. We live in Nassau but wouldn't mind venturing into Suffolk for the right person. Thanks so much!!!!

I HIGHLY recommend Ryan from Above & Beyond Events -- she was FABULOUS, and worth every single penny (and wasn't expensive either!). She's wonderful to work with, totally knows what she's doing, and made our day run 100% smoothly (even when silly little things like leaving the marriage license at the hotel happened). I know one of the reasons I can look back on our wedding day with only perfect memories is because she was there!

I highly, highly recommend Christine Wheat. She did my wedding and my sister's wedding and she was unbelievable. We had several mishaps throughout the weekend (transportation not showing up for the rehearsal, transportation not completing its loops to bring guests to the actual wedding, etc.) and I didn't know a thing about any of them until after we came back from our honeymoon b/c she handled them without it ever becoming an issue. She was also so organized throughout the entire process and incredibly helful.
Even if you don't go with Christine, I think having a DOC is an absolute must. It made things so much less hectic/stressful for me to not worry about any of it.

I used Laura from LA Productions. She was incredible! I was on the fence about whether or not I should splurge. It was worth every penny. Prices vary by vendor and I made a lot of inquiries. Laura is actually having an event tomorrow night on how to avoid wedding disasters. It's free but far from you...Rocky Point. Go to the vendor page and find LA Productions under Coordinators. Clock on showcase for details on tomorrows event. Definitely meet with multiple DOC's. It's a personality thing and you have to find the right person for you.

I have heard that DOC's go as low as $500 but as high as $1000 - Francesca at Dazzling Affairs is at the high end but worth every penny. If you read reviews, there is nothing but good about her.
FH was skeptical too but he was sold when we went to meet with her because he would rather not have to worry about anything that day. To us, it was worth the 1k - we didn't want to have to worry about the florist, or our candy bar, or the all the candles on the tables or any of the other little things that could come up. We want all the little details of our day to come together without us having to think about it.
I am a control freak and would have happily done everything and could have. However, I said after reading SoinLoveRwe2 review (I felt like I was reading about myself, it was scary!) that I would rather just trust someone else to make sure that all I wanted for our day actually happens.
