She has been great so far & I know is more reasonably priced than some of the others.

I've also been considering hiring a DOC, but what does a DOC actually end up doing day of if you already have everything booked and planned?

they basically make sure everything runs smoothly and everything is where its supposed to be. a DOC is not necessary but for paranoid brides like me, i needed that piece of mind. i didnt want to rely on a family member or friend.

This is from my DOC's site:

Unlimited contact via telephone and/or email from the moment you contract our services to the moment you walk down the aisle.
Two (in person) consultations – a meet & greet and a finalization meeting during the month of the wedding.
An extensive timeline, tipping guide and checklist for the day of the wedding.
Confirming all vendors are confirmed, scheduled, and in place before the wedding and on the day of.
Arriving at the bride’s preparation or ceremony location (determined by client) and departing at reception completion (maximum of 10 hours in total.)
EAP will be the sole contact for all vendors on the week and day of the wedding.
Distribution of all remaining vendor balances and gratuities (at the discretion of client).
Supervising all activities such as:
Processional & Recessional
Photo session coordination and management
Bridal Party Introductions
Reception timeline (dances, toasts, cake cutting, etc.)
Packing up your items at the end of the night (when necessary)
Arranging transportation for bride/groom, bridal party, family and friends when necessary

Inspection and confirmation of venue layout and set-up.
Full access to our preferred vendors (discount may apply.)
Providing the “Super Something” Wedding Day Emergency Kit

what is the average cost? i checked 2 places, one was 300 for 6 hour service, the other was 350. anyone else?

Ryan from Above and Beyond is AMAZING!! She just recently made the invitations, placecards and thank yous for my sisters shower and they came out GREAT!! Shes also going to be the DOC for her wedding this upcoming June and she has been beyond helpful so far! Shes kept her organized and has helped every step of the way so far!
