Day of (Hair and Make Up) Schedule

Do you guys think it's weird to go to a Salon for hair but have someone come to the house for Make Up?

The girl that does make up at this possible hair salon is unavailable that day... does it make sense to do shifts at the salon and house to get the girls done?

Personally I wouldn't ...Just because I don't want to travel anywhere morning of...However it really depends on how much you would like this specific person to do your makeup/hair. Have you asked them if they can both go to your house?

Thats probably what we will be doing also. I am booked with a Makeup person who is coming to my house the day of, but I havent found someone to do hair yet. I dont mind paying more money for my hair, but every traveling stylist that I get a quote from is just way too high to ask my BM's to pay. So I might just have to go to a salon myself and let the girls go to whoever they want.

I'm doing that and I think a bunch of other girls are too. The girl that's been doing my hair for 12+ yrs is doing my hair the morning of at the salon, then make-up is at my parents. I also like that the salon is about 1/4 of a mile from my parents home.

If I can't get anyone to come to my house the day of for hair than I will probably do that exact same thing - going to a salon by my mother's house and then having the MUA come to my mom's house after.

it's not weird. it's really whatever you want to do. I personally wouldn't just because I want to be relaxed at home being pampered and taken care of lol. not running around or driving around getting things done. if my girls had to I'd let them all go to a salon to get their hair done. I really want a hair/makeup girl all day long for me. just to make sure I look perfect all day. so basically I need someone to be here lol. I just don't want that end of the night my hair isn't really curled anymore look. or if I cry I want someone touching up my makeup afterwards. that's just me though.

what I would do is send each girl to get hair and then back to your house for her makeup. let your girls run around because they aren't the ones getting married! you are! lol. plus a bm doesn't want to spend as much as you do for your day. at least that's how my girls will be.

I wouldn't want to stress about being in two different places to get ready... Can your makeup girl meet you at the salon?

Myself and my BP are going to the salon to get our hair done then the make up artist is going to meet us at the hotel to do everyone. This is the same person that has been doing my hair for years so I cant imagine anyone else touching my hair

Can your makeup girl meet you at the salon? THats what we did (we used an outside girl as well- not affiliated with the salon and they didnt have a problem with it)
