FH are planning on delivering letters to our parents and grandparents on the morning of our wedding that basically tells them how grateful we are for everything they did for us throughout our lives; how we feel that we owe everything we are to their love and sacrifice.
Has anyone done this before? Any plans to do this? Any ideas on what to say to that its not too terribly emotional but also poignant?

I think thats a great idea! I have heard of the 'wedding newsletter' that some people give out at the wedding but that is sooo nice. FH and I owe everything to our parents too (espeically the wedding!!)...i think that is really really nice

My best friend and one of my BM's (I was her MOH this past Nov) did this for her wedding. She had me give a card to her mom & her FMIL in the morning.... They loved it and both cried It was a very special touch & more personal than just a gift....

This is a wonderful idea...I am not doing this but I am doing something a little similar...I am giving the poetry hankies...they are generic but still the words mean so much

I am giving poetry hankies too. that is if the embroiderers can fit my whole poem on the hankie..lol

I am just afraid of starting the waterworks a little TOO early!!!
I think everyone will be at the hotel (all grandparents, etc) so maybe we'll just have a flower girl or someone, Junior Bridesmaid? Deliver them for us.
I'll give mine to my parents in the morning I guess.
I just dont want to be over dramatic or overemotional but I cant think of a better time to do it, or when else it would mean more.
