Re: 'Day of Shoes'

I thought about it, but didn't. Heels, no matter what size, will give you a better appearance 'posture wise'. I think the ballet slippers are great for the reception after all the dances are done.

I agree w/ soon2bcopswife and I'd feel too short... but if you want to be comfy then go for it!

Re: 'Day of Shoes'

I'm getting them...I know my feet are going to be killing me by the middle of the reception - I don't want to wreck my feet for my HM...if my shoes are comfy and I don't need to put on the slippers - thats cool too - but I rather have them just in case

Not crazy at all. I went on a mad search for ballroom dance shoes because I knew nothing would be that comfortable. Unfortunately, Capezio discontinued the PERFECT wedding shoe, and I couldn't get my size (but I do have a 7 1/2 wide that I haven't returned to Zappos yet).

I wound up finding a really comfy pair of open toed shoes, which I was dead set against, but comfort is what counts!!

Re: 'Day of Shoes'

When I went shoe shopping, I made sure I bought comfortable shoes. I didn't care that they weren't the most stylish shoes, I just wanted the most comfortable ones. And guess what, I never took them off. I played on the beach, on rocks and danced the whole night and have no complaints! Like a few of the girls above said, your posture changes and I'm short so I tend to look hunched over when the heels come off. If you can do it, keep the heels on!

Re: 'Day of Shoes'

I think ballet shoes for the reception are a great idea. It's better to be short than have your feet dirty from wearing no shoes :). It's all about comfort at that point. For pics and dances..heels would be best though :)
